BASIC FUNCTION:
Performance/Process Managers are responsible for the delivery of Grainger’s ES organization’s process improvement and strategic change initiatives. They work with cross-functional ES teams to design, develop, and integrate ES processes and procedures utilizing best practices and industry standard frameworks. The Performance/Process Managers lead the design of Grainger’s ES organization’s overall process structure, including creating a process hierarchy that streamlines ES processes and eliminates redundancy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies and leads performance improvement initiatives with stakeholders, focused on creating opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Works with Technical Administrators and Engineers to integrate processes and procedures utilizing best practices and framework.
Performs detailed analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
Re-engineers highly complex processes or creates new processes for improvement.
Develops well defined processes, policies, and procedures with clearly documented accountability to increase efficiency of processes.
Defines current / future state process structure and creates RACI charts.
Identifies benefits realization targets and ensures these are achieved on each project.
Maintains weekly / monthly status reports to key stakeholders tracking the status of the improvement project.
Designs, monitors, analyzes, and reports on performance metrics program for improvement initiatives.
Establishes Lean / Continuous Improvement program goals, strategies, and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES:

Able communicate detailed concepts and business risks.
Strong ability to lead, facilitate, develop, and conduct presentations.
Demonstrated ability in presenting information in a clear and concise manner to senior management as well as interacting with all levels of the organization.
Proven leadership ability that manifests itself in quickly earning sponsorship and key stakeholder trust; mobilizing and motivating teams; setting direction and approach; resolving conflict; delivering tough messages with grace; ability to influence higher levels in the organization; executing with limited information and ambiguity.
Must have a proactive, results oriented attitude, leads by the example of serving others, with a superb work ethic and flexibility to work within an environment of constant change.
Ability to identify issues and risks across many teams, proposing solutions and understanding when to escalate to leadership.
