The SharePoint Engineer is a design, administration and support position of our On Premise and Cloud SharePoint environments. The SharePoint Engineer will take initiative to be a subject matter expert of Hill’s environment.
Work in a hybrid environment with 3 days/week onsite with the IT Team
Configure and support multiple SharePoint Site Collections in Hill International's environment.
Ensure that SharePoint Sites are implemented and used in accordance with defined standards.
Responsible for SharePoint backups and recovery using AvePoint DocAve® product.
Develop support skills related to key products in Hill International’s portfolio ("supported Project Systems"), including Primavera, e-Builder and PMWeb.
Support Microsoft SQL Server administrative and maintenance tasks.
Create and maintain workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
Governance, both development and implementation, and content migration.
Knowledge of Hyper-V and VMWare hypervisors.
Proficient at PowerShell scripting.
Knowledge of digital certificate installations and renewals.
Understanding of ITIL/Service Management, PROSCI, Six Sigma or other project management experience
Train Service Desk and Site Support staff in various areas of installation and support for SharePoint and supported Project Systems.
Work collaboratively with areas of IT and throughout the business, including Operations and Executive management. The SharePoint Engineer will perform the following tasks under the direction of the Systems Engineering Manager
Implement and maintain security structures for SharePoint Sites and Users.
Provide timely "tier 2" and "tier 3" support for SharePoint and supported Project Systems. As necessary, submit and track software support cases with Vendors.
Centrally administer and monitor configuration and use of SharePoint (on premise) and SharePoint Online.
Provide training as requested for both internal and external clients on SharePoint and supported Project Systems, to ensure that these systems are configured properly and perform as expected.
In response to business needs, identify key requirements, review possible solutions, and present recommendations.
Provide additional capabilities and support for system implementations and operation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting technical concepts to peers.
Perform admin testing for upgrades, implementations, integrations, and migrations.
This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager.
6-8+ years in an Information Technology role with increasing responsibility
2-4 years Technical Administration or Solution Architecture experience with demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined activity quotas
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Experience with SharePoint administration.
Effective communication within team and with stakeholders.
