Perform a variety of highly technical facility system diagnostics. Plan, conduct and oversee mechanical repairs and maintenance with outside contractors or staff. Provide general oversight of building systems with regard to operation, expansion, maintenance and repair, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of Honeywell and Johnson Building Controls Management Systems as well as OSI PI. Access information utilizing building management system applications. Promote a safe work environment in the shop and in the field. Operate a University vehicle. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability, and delivering great customer experience. Report to the Building Controls Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

High School Diploma and three years of specific trade and operation exposure to mechanical equipment and controls, maintenance and repair required. Experience with project coordination and ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications required. Knowledge of computer programming/operation relating to Building Automation Systems required. Valid driver’s license and driver’s check required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear appropriate Personal protective Equipment (PPE) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge of programming/operation of Honeywell and Johnson Control systems.
