As the front-end web developer, interpret and execute designs for UVM’s website on a variety of web content management platforms while maintaining maximum usability and accessibility. Works with the internal and external designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs across a wide variety of platforms. Recommends long-term and sustainable web development solutions to further the enrollment and strategic goals as set by the university senior administration.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in technology related field and four to five years’ experience with web standards and technologies: web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery), and responsive web design required. Expertise writing semantic, modular front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, and W3C coding practices. Understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, mobile first and future friendly design required. Experience developing within a web content management system such as Drupal.
