Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Nashville, TN
Grade : 9
The Manufacturing Engineer will work in a cross-functional environment with development, production, repair depot, test engineering, and supply quality engineering. The ME will work primarily in the areas of process development and documentation, design for manufacturing and quality system tracking and reporting in the hand assembly and configuration of computers and peripherals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Process development and documentation for production areas.
Facilities layout for warehouse, production floor
Development and implementation of process improvement plans.
Design evaluation of new and existing products.
Evaluation, improvement and development of software configuration processes in our staging area.
Fixture design and production equipment selection.
Design and evaluation of pack materials.
Project design and implementation.
Other job related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Up to 3 years in a hand assembly environment as a manufacturing/production engineer.
Experience in electronic assembly and a leadership position a plus.
Strong verbal/ written communication and presentation skills
Lean production background preferred
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated leading toward driving corrective actions
Strong logical thinking, problem analysis and solving skills
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
PC application knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Internet
Basic skills in programming
NPI experience is a plus
Project Management experience is a plus
