Duties:
Assist with building OCC’s next generation clearing and settlement system in order to pave the future of digital transformation in the capital markets industry. Develop solutions while coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting developed systems and recommend technologies and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of OCC’s systems. Develop distributed and resilient systems able to process high volume with low latency using Java 8 and Java 11. Responsible for the management of distributed storage services and messaging clusters, and replication of data in real time using Kafka, Linux and Java virtual machines. Perform front end development using React JS, Redux and JavaScript/TypeScript. Collaborate with team members to deliver complex software engineering projects involving multiple systems. Optimize systems and application performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning. **50% travel to US and international OCC offices. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering and three (3) years of full stack development experience.
Special Skills Required:
