The Product Development Engineer – TX1 conducts design projects to match the TX surface technology and other solutions to customer needs, and proving their effect. This includes the complete development process from materials engineering through to customer communication.

Position Specific Responsibilities

Establish strong partnerships with existing and potential customers. Understand their technical and service needs at the same level of their staff in order to develop excellent products that meet their needs.
Perform standard mechanical and chemical tests and create custom tests that accurately represent the demands on a customer’s part.
Provide detailed feedback to the chemical research team that enables then to improve products to more effectively meet customer needs.
Find and apply established research to focus our testing.
Identify, evaluate, and test the surface protection solutions of our competitors as they apply to the needs of our customers. Use this information to establish our competitive advantage, or to identify products for acquisition or license when they are superior.
Employ statistical methods to prove how TES products reliably meet customer needs.
Coordinate with internal Marketing and Operations departments to prepare the necessary materials to make a compelling case for TES products.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelors’ Degree required in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Experience with mechanical or chemical process equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
Must be able to lift a minimum of forty pounds in a safe manner and request assistance when needed.
