What You Will Do In Your Role
In this role you will have the opportunity to perform standard tests, analysis, and evaluations on Molex products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Program Managers and Product Engineers to ensure on time product launches.
Responsible for the interpretation and execution of a DVPR or test plan. Identify and procure any needed resources for test plan outside the standard lab equipment.
Support test equipment including maintenance, programming, and identifying future need. Support other Test Engineers and Test Technicians.
Oversees and/or conducts product testing. Sets up and operates standard and custom test equipment and chambers. Includes equipment such as microscopes, Instron type force equipment, various electrical parameter measuring devices, environmental chambers, etc.
Performs product evaluation and performance analysis. Utilizing standard departmental procedures, develops and modifies instructional documentation to establish performance and reliability of the products being tested.
Prepares detailed test reports. Includes the purpose, a summary, conclusions, part numbers and component details of the product being tested, procedures and equipment used, etc.
Works with test and project engineers to create E8D’s to evaluate results and provide corrective actions or recommendations.
Supports Molex QMS program by following approved policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
The Experience You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, physics, mechanical, other scientific field, or 4+years of experience in a laboratory environment
What Will Put You Ahead
2 or more years of experience in a laboratory environment
Solid understanding and familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and connectivity
Familiarity with USCAR and OEM test specifications and execution
Basic electrical schematic and mechanical drawing experience
Computer Proficient (MS Office, MS Project, schematic design)
Familiarity with use statistical analysis software.
