You will be basedat the GM Wentzville Assembly Plant in the Paint Shop where you will executeand manage Non-Portfolio (NPP) and Portfolio Projects (PP).

PaintShop Facilities Resident Engineer

PaintShop Resident Key Job Elements:
Develop and Implement Paint Shop Facility and Product Program Projects:
Develop Concept
Develop Appropriation Request
Project Professional services for engineering (when is necessary)
Conduct Technical reviews
Procure Professional Services & Develop Engineering
Develop bid specification and scope of work
Integrate site specific Safety
Procure Machinery & Equipment (M&E)
Identify any long lead items; equipment, facilities etc.
Utilize WWP bid & award process World Wide Purchasing (WWP).
Fabricate/Verify/Integrate Machinery and Equipment (M&E)
Monitor M&E fabrication onsite & at suppliers.
Control design changes.
Support safety and functional buy-offs.
Monitor M&E installation schedule and progress
Control field order changes.
Maintain site safety.
Start Up & De-Bug Systems
Validate Installation Manufacturing System Qualifications (MSQ).
Perform functional and safety buy-offs.
Support production launch.
Close Out Project
Process final payments and retention.
Conduct & document "Lessons Learned" for future projects.
Ensure proper documentation of all equipment, maintenance and training materials.
Maintain accurate input into the Paint Process Database
Develop and Maintain Project Forecasts
Develop budgetary estimates and spending timing for Product/Non-Product Projects
Track & control spending on both Product /Non-Product Projects
Maintain Asset Sustainment Database
Develop business case analysis for any asset reuse request.
Support and Implement Energy Conversation Initiatives

Engineering degree or equivalent plant/paint experience
5 years minimum experience in paint related facilities
Project Management Experience with emphasis on projects that are largein scope and involve the installation of paint automation

Demonstrated elevated level of interpersonal skills as well as oral andwritten communication skills

Demonstrated leadership experience
Demonstrated high level of analytical ability and creativity
Ability to work effectively with people at all educational and experience levels
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively in a manufacturing plant environment
Demonstrated organization, planning and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently or with others as part of a team
Willing to travel as required
Elevated level of computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Project management experience with the following emphasis
Projects that are very large in scope
Involve the installation of automation and conveyance
Involve building expansion
High level of computer skills
