Participate in RF system-level design and trade studies
Preparation of documentation and drawings
Skills needed include:
Understanding of system-level RF hardware (mixers, amplifiers, filters)
Prior experience with RF cascaded analysis, simulation, fabrication, and test
Experience with antenna matching networks and integration with RF systems
Experience operating oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers
RF link budget experience
Experience with antenna arrays a plus
Experience with PCB design a plus
Experience with radar a plus
Tasks are performed at SRI facilities and occasionally on-site at other locations. The position requires direct and indirect contact with staff of the US Department of Defense, other US Government activities, and commercial representatives.
This position requires an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or a BS with equivalent theoretical and practical experience.
Leading candidates will have 3+ years’ experience in design and development.
Good communication skills and autonomy are critical.
The candidate should be hands-on and have a demonstrated capability to innovate and turn ideas into functional prototypes. The candidate should enjoy innovating and learning new disciplines and technologies.
