Supports assembly manufacturing through routine activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing documentation. Compiles and evaluates
quality data and assists in resolving product issues between customers, suppliers, and Business Development. Supports and drives corrective actions and prepares analyses and reports.
Prepares documentation and implements new or revised procedures. Acts as a liaison with customers and suppliers. Develops and implements process controls. Recommends corrective
action for product or process deficiencies. May participate in training of other staff members. Assists with new product quoting.
The technical expertise of the Quality Engineer will be utilized in programs such as Product Inspection, CAPA, Validation, Nonconforming Material Management and Manufacturing with product complaints and investigations.
Provide support with IQ, OQ, PQ and Validations to support ISO 13485 requirements
Ensures capability studies are performed on critical processes
Performs First Article inspection and reviews Visual Aids
Performs defect analysis reporting
Performs MRB on sustained products
Participates in CAC meetings
Performs line and product audits
Assists with APQP
Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering preferred OR equivalent AND 1 to 3 years relevant experience
Familiarity with electronics (PCBA, SMT process etc.) preferred
ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQT) desired
Knowledge of statistical methods and their application to a manufacturing process required
Knowledge of quality theory and practices required, including PFMEA, Control Plans and Charts, etc., and process documentation required
Advanced reading, writing, and math skills required
Experience in productivity improvement required
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Working knowledge of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics
