The position will be responsible for system, electronic, thermal, mechanical design engineering, during validations, optimization and debugging for the varieties of the server systems in server class Crystal Group motherboards. This individual will lead a team in developing custom motherboards for high-end, server class, military and heavy industrial applications.
The candidate provides the leadership roles in reviewing the electronic, mechanical, systems, and thermal design engineering.
1.Collaborate with Technical Directors and design engineers to define and review new product system architecture.
2. Perform system design review from concept, prototype to final product.
3. Work closely with other electrical/mechanical/thermal engineers to review designs for the complete system.
4. Report and drive to resolve any system level design issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Good ODM/OEM system design knowledge for server solution and industry design standards
Review, develops system requirements, and creates high quality, detailed product architecture specifications and check lists.
Responsible for coordinating the product system level electronic, mechanical, thermal design engineering.
Review board level and system level design to identify any potential system issue and drive to design to an economical and holistic resolution.
Capable of performing trade studies, failure analysis, and solution path to resolve design and production issues.
Technical support for manufacturing and design departments.
Support system technical director to evaluate/review system design details, including power consumption, air flow, solution characteristics, temperature sensors and related design validation of system thermal performance.
Familiar with the thermal design process/analysis in component level and system level applications.
Reviews the system mechanical architecture 2D/3D design drawings, identifying the critical dimensions, performing a tolerance stack analysis.
Works with electrical and mechanical teams to develop subsystem and system-level performance specifications to meet customer’s requirements.
Coordinates with Lab and other system validation teams to qualify the system with the final design in Crystal Group chassis/products.
Reviews any proposed mechanical engineering changes (ECNs).

BSEE eight+ years of developing Intel/AMD server system architecture from concept to implementation. Prefer ten years design experience.
Experience in system level design and architectures: electronics, thermal, mechanical, development and analysis, system reliability, and risk mitigation.
Knowledge and hands-on of PCB design, high-speed electrical design, and voltage regulator design.
Familiar with oscilloscope and various lab equipment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Thermal or Mechanical Engineering discipline; Master's degree in engineering is a plus.
At least eight years of experience in server/storage/GPU ODM/OEM design and validation. Ten+ years of experience is preferred.
Require server knowledge/experience of the system design process and thermal design/management, heat transfer material, cooling devices.
Strong organizational, problem solving, solid communication skills in both verbal and written.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. MS preferred.
At least ten years of mechanical design engineering experience in computer system architecture. Experience with military or heavy industrial electrical designs preferred.
At least five years of experience involving in new computer system integration and participating in related mechanical design review processes.
Hands-on experience and working knowledge with computer aided design (CAD) software package (Inventor preferred).
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), statistical tolerance stack-up analysis.
