POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Media Specialist Co-op
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Part Time
Location: Midland

Job Summary:
The Media Specialist Co-op assists in all aspects of the design and development of training programs through variety of delivery methods such computer based training, video based training, and enhanced e-learning training courses. The Media Specialist Co-op will work with a cross-section of manufacturing employees in a team environment to develop and implement innovative training materials aimed at improving the plant’s efficiency and profitability while maintaining reliability and XALT Energy’s commitment to safety, quality and the environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare materials for implementation into training courses using the Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline 360 (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, etc.)
Design training courses with embedded audio and video, customization, interaction, and technical requirements for a variety of systems and browsers.
Create learning documentation such as job aids and online reference documents.
Can effectively communicate and is able to work across various business, regional and functional teams.
Can develop training courses by interfacing with technicians, scientists, & engineers to improve the operation of mechanical/electrical fabrication and assembly machinery.

Position Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Currently enrolled in Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program.
Overall GPA 2.7 or higher.
Must be able to work between 20-29 hours per week between 8:00am and 5pm Monday through Friday.
Strong knowledge of media production applications
High level of enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong computer skills including MS office and design applications.
Strong creative skills.
Attention to detail and safety.
Strong verbal and written communications for a wide range of audience skill sets.
General knowledge of trigger functionality and front-end programming in creative applications
