Perform as a technical lead of electrical design and development of electrical systems in existing and future Oshkosh Corporation products. Exercise independent judgment and action. Will require strong knowledge and skills in electrical distribution design in addition to working closely with suppliers, engineering specialists, and other departments within Oshkosh Corporation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs electrical wiring harnesses and cables including routing, fastening strategy, assembly, manufacturability, and service requirements.
Select parts and/or design components for cost, quality, performance to meet requirements
Designs to environmental requirements for temperature, shock, vibration, submergence, and exposure to harsh chemicals.
Identify and work with applicable industry standards that apply to design requirements to meet performance, safety, and industry design compliance.
Establishes priorities for work delegated to others
Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specification, and bills of material
Consult with suppliers, customers, and members of Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Service, and Testing, Quality Control, and Marketing departments
Possess a strong theoretical electrical knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, power electronics, electrical machines, energy storage, vehicles, electrical theory, electrical component and related systems
Provide and lead technical assistance and solutions for build issues, prototypes, pilots, and production support to engineering team. Collect, document, and organize build issues for entire vehicle design.
Ability to travel in support of development projects in the field at test sites requiring US Citizenship.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
2-plus years of relevant work experience – designing electrical wiring harnesses in CAD

CREO Cabling/CREO Schematics
Relevant design experience with vehicle electrical systems
Experience designing to Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) and Military Standards
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to obtain a security clearance
