We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Civil Engineer in our London office.
Completion of functional and detailed design for municipal and land development projects related to shallow and deep utilities, road works, site servicing, and storm water management
Coordination of design team activities, direction to project team members including sub-consultants and subcontractors
Liaison and development of private and public sector clients
Liaison with government review and approval agencies
Development of project proposal preparation and client relations and new business development
Input to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
Contributions to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
A degree in civil engineering or water resources
Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months
A minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant work experience
Proven leadership and business development capabilities
Experienced in the design of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, stormwater management works and/or site servicing works
Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling systems that may include professional working experience with HECRAS, XPSWMM, MIKE URBAN, INFOWORKS, PCSWMM, and others.
AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
Proficient in the full range of design activities including preparation of functional and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation and tendering
In-depth understanding of contract administration services and requirements
Expert knowledge of municipal servicing standards; familiarity with provincial regulatory requirements for environmental approvals would be an asset
Outstanding abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination
Proficient in project proposal preparation and presentations
