Savioke is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional with leadership qualities and the ability to work efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and refining the production process for Savioke’s current product offering as well as assisting with the design and development of new robots. He or she will play a critical role in designing, testing and evaluating our current and future generations of solutions and supporting manufacturing through ongoing engineering and manufacturing. Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that can be improved
Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas
Design and develop product performance validation and testing tools to ensure that our robots meet the quality our customers expect
Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion
Establish an effective and efficient work sequence for production
Analyze and implement solutions for technical design challenges that arise in our production facility, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Develop standardized work criteria for the production process
Work closely with external production partners to ensure proper documentation exists and quality standards are met.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
5+ years’ design and quality control experience in product manufacturing
Knowledge of drawing standards and geometric dimensioning per ASME Y14.5
Understanding of mechanical tolerances and GD&T
Ability to perform detailed tolerance loop analysis
Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DSA) and Design for Service
Extensive experience designing high volume parts for injection molding, stamping and extrusion etc.
Experience with the various forms of rapid prototyping technologies, including additive technologies, rapid tooling, prototype injection molding
Proficiency in a machine shop, lathe, mill, CNC mill and hand tools
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the US
Experience managing CM partner relationships
History of progressive responsibility a plus
Proficient with Linux commands and Python programming a plus
Experience with CAD programs like Solidworks a plus
