Lead regional education and training activities in support of Cardiac Rhythm Heart Failure-CRHF (primary responsibility) and Cardiac Vascular Group-CVG (secondary responsibility) new hire training and product launches.
Serve as the customer and field technical resource in CRHF (primary) and CVG (secondary). Provide expertise and leadership in the areas of Fellows education, IBHRE certification, AHP education, clinical evidence interpretation, CVG champion programs. Provide clinic and implant coverage as dictated by needs of the region.
Position reports to a District Service Manager. Each Region determines number of TFEs based on business needs, training demands and funding. Each region will have a minimum of one TFE.
A DAY IN THE LIFE - POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Education and Training
Drives regional education and training activities for sales and service staff around CRDM products and therapies, specifically:
New product launches
Leads new-hire training with accountability to hiring manager (DM or DSM)
IBHRE certification prep
CVG sales and service education and training (secondarily) as required by region and BU Champions programs
Expert in competitive technology and therapies. Disseminates competitive information to regional teams. Delivers competitive training to field service and sales staff.
Stays current with regard to publications and clinical evidence. Effectively and regularly disseminates information and training to field sales and service staff.
Clinical Research Support
Partners with CRHF FCEs and Field Scientists, CRI FRCs, MSLs, TDSs and other BU clinical personnel to execute successful clinical research enrollments within region.
Conducts customer training on the use of Medtronic products and clinical protocols; coordinates field involvement in these processes and covers clinical research cases as needed.
Field Technical & Sales Support
Assists and/or services as consultant to customers as well as sales and service staff with troubleshooting and programming challenges.
May be responsible for key customer relationships and serve as primary contact based on regional specific needs.
Serves as technical resource to customers and Medtronic personnel for complex problems. Provides technical explanation and demonstration of products to customers, particularly surrounding product launches.
Provides clinic and implant coverage (20% - 30% of total time) depending upon individual region demands. May be used to cover service for vacancies, leaves of absence and to train new hires.
Sales and Service Solutions
Partners with DSSs and Regions Solutions Specialist to help deliver Medtronic Advantage Programs as requested and appropriate.
Attain a minimum of Lean Sigma Yellow Belt within 12 months (or as funding allows) and lead lean sigma efforts surrounding service efficiency across the region.
Partners with DSMs to successfully implement CareLink Express across region.
Region Focus Areas
Each TFE will have one or more focus items assigned to them depending on the region business demands.
Partners with the CRHF Fellows Manager and field to communicate with and execute EP and Cardiology Fellows initiatives. Maintains relationships with EP Fellowship Directors.
Partners with CVG DMs, BUs and field to communicate and execute SH, Endovascular and Interventional Cardiology Fellows initiatives.
Designs and leads annual IBHRE prep course for CRDM field.
AHP Education Lead
Partners with Cardiology DMs and field to deliver region education initiatives for Allied Health Professionals.
CVG Champions Liaison
Achieves familiarity in one CVG business outside of CRDM and partners with CVG DM to assist in driving BU Champions efforts and product launches.
MUST HAVE - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of professional experience in electrophysiology, nursing and/or the implantable medical device field.
NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience with implantable cardiac devices
Masters in engineering or nursing
Knowledgeable of education/training techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstration of strong leadership ability
Formal and informal presentation professionalism
Ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts
