SSOE is seeking a talented Food Process Engineer to help lead projects from inception to detailed design with project engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Ideal candidates will be able to: effectively communicate with clients and other project disciplines, provide solutions to challenges while adding value for client, process budgets and maintain department standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Interface directly with clients to scope and estimate projects.
Lead designers and junior engineers to develop drawings, estimates, reports, and analysis.
Manage project process discipline budgets and schedules.
Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Assist with maintaining department standards.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree / DIRECT / 8+
OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team.
Ability to apply engineering principles to provide solutions and add value for clients.
Knowledge of dry material handling and process piping. Experience with dust collection desired.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, required. PE or PE-tracked preferred
Self-starter with ability to work independently and with a team of interdisciplinary engineers and designers.
