The Billing Enterprise Application Modernization (BEAM) Department is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Technical Supervisor to join the Balancing BEAMs team. The ideal candidate will lead the team of developers and analysts responsible for supporting the ASP .Net application, data feeds from Billing to the General Ledger and a number of custom-built balancing and control applications. This position includes production support and development responsibilities.
The successful candidate must be able to manage development projects using agile methodology, while also managing a backlog of production tasks. Multi-tasking management skills are required. The ideal candidate will also have experience with production system monitoring, particularly as it applies to issues associated with an increase in transaction and data volumes.
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate technical problems to a non-technical audience. Critical thinking, decision making, follow up and problem-solving skills are a must. Knowledge of or experience with Object Oriented concepts, .NET frameworks, C#, and SQL Server, and Agile system development life cycle methodologies, planning and execution is preferred. Candidate must be willing to contribute as a team player, show an appropriate sense of urgency, be able to perform under pressure, multi-task, and understand business needs.
3 to 5 years of experience in an IT Leadership position or completion of Information Technology Leadership Academy (ITLA)
Hands-on experience leading developers and analysts, providing feedback and direction on design reviews, and establishing and executing project practices to best meet the needs of the team
Experience interfacing and collaborating with peers in multiple IT groups
Hands-on work experience leading .NET development teams
Understanding and working knowledge of applicable .NET standards
Practical Agile project management knowledge and experience
Establishing and presenting technical road maps and strategies
Understanding of object-oriented design best practices
Understanding of source control best practices
Experience with tools and processes to improve/maintain system performance and stability
