STANDARD Automation seeks a Controls Engineer to design software and commission automation equipment. The Controls Engineer should demonstrate leadership, act as mentoring support, and be comfortable managing multiple projects.

Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to support up to 75% travel including major holidays.
- Anticipate issues and drive communication into various organizations, eliminating problems before they happen.
- Translate Customer Scopes of Work into actionable plans.
- Set up and track project specific software tasks.
- Support on-site commissioning as required to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Deliver output to milestone schedules based on customer needs, material availability, and existing work windows.
- Participate in collaborative meetings with Installation Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Process Engineers to create detailed work plans.
- Reliably participate in the communication cadence with the customer and the TEAM.
- Maintain the software Standard Operating Procedures for projects and equipment.
- Assist the Installation Engineers with multi-role activities on-site as needed.
- Identify roadblocks and facilitate solutions when problems arise.
- Coordinate with the customer for technical interlocks, plant interface functionality, and dynamic changes.
- Participate in Lessons Learned during site activities.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced training, knowledge, and awareness in Automated Systems and Robot Applications
- Safety training and experience in industrial environments
- Knowledge of relevant OSHA standards and requirements
- Rockwell, SIEMENS, Mitsubishi, GE
- Rockwell ME, Siemens SIMATIC, Cimplicity, WonderWare, Zenon
- Rockwell GuardLogix, Siemens FailSafe
- ProfiNET, ProfiSafe, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ProfiBUS,
- VFD and Servo Control knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical software engineering.
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
- Military experience welcomed.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
