Conduct business and systems analysis, handle feature scope, lead software and process design changes, and generate application documentation. Lead business and technical analysis sessions to support new development efforts to meet current and projected business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Designs and develops APIs to integrate applications. Designing testing writing automated tests.
Designs and develops user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; figuring out design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives.
Find opportunities that can improve efficiency of business or team processes.
Perform all roles throughout the SDLC (estimate, bring together requirements, develop, test, and deliver).
Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
Integrates applications by using web services or file transfers.
Build and present findings, solutions, and demos to audiences including senior leaders and partners.
Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.
Assist in fixing software application issues.
Assist outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
Assist network administrator with application installation and testing.
Fix technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
Provide SQL administration in live and test environments.
Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
Participate on IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects.
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.
Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following proficiencies:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
At least 2 years of experience in application development with Java, MuleSoft, C#, Ruby, PHP, Python or Perl and developing relational database applications with MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle.
Have technical experience with: web services, web development, databases and user support.
Extensive knowledge of REST/SOAP web services.
Basic knowledge of NoSQL data bases, Unit Testing and RAML.
Experience in Agile SDLC Environment
Experience crafting scripts, testing and implementing large data updates into production databases.
Demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to explain technical information effectively.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business documentation, professional journals, technical specifications and project management documentation.
Strive to work as part of an application development team; create structured code for integration into larger systems, document work for maintenance in a production environment, build task, lists, timelines and deliverables, work to meet project schedules figured out by others
Ability to develop detailed testing plans for problem resolution.
Background in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
Fully bilingual both oral and written (Spanish/English).
