Premier is looking for an experiencedengineer to lead new product development, implement new technologies and,overall, make a measurable impact. This is an outstanding opportunityfor someone who understands process operation, loves to work hands on withproduction equipment, and is a skilled communicator of engineering concepts tonon-engineers. This role will be themain technical contact with Premier's Marketing Department in developing newproducts and improving existing ones. The person will provide engineering andproject leadership in the production plant for new product introductions,process improvements and new technology introductions.
Experiencewith labeling, flow wrapping, and rotary converting is desired but notessential. Essential is the ability to understand process operations, to work withproduction equipment and to effectively train production operators.
Duties & Responsibilities
Theposition has high visibility and performance expectations. Communication skillsas well as engineering talent is required. Will need to work effectively withall facets of the organization.
Themain areas of responsibility are:
New Product Development: Work withproject management and other departments to define scope and timeline for newproduct development and introduction. Responsible for engineering tasksassociated with new product development as well as coordinating otherengineering and production tasks to support the projects. Innovative thinking,task accomplishment and dedication to timeline are essential.
Process Improvements and New Technologyintroduction: Work with department management to define andanalyze opportunities to improve operations with process modifications or newtechnology. Lead the projects from justification through vendor selection,installation, start-up, and operator training.
Manufacturing improvements: Yieldimprovements and operational constraint reduction on Core products.

· Bachelor’s Degreein Engineering is required
· Minimum fiveyears in production environment
· Effectivecommunicator with hands-on engineering skills
· Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods in acGMP environment preferred
· Solid Work experience a plus
· Positivepro-active attitude that is both collaborative and team-oriented with a strongwork ethic.
· Ability toeffectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Solid timemanagement skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a lean/agilework environment.
