Your Role:
As an Electrical Engineer II for O-I, you will be responsible for oversight of deliverables and hands-on implementation of the design, construction, and commissioning activities for green and brownfield installations. You will serve as one of the leaders of the team and should have experience with capital project implementation and an understanding of project management best practices.

In this position, you will also be responsible for the concept creation, engineering design and project implementation of all required electrical systems and power distribution in support of various R&D initiatives across the full breadth of the initiative. This will include the development of strategic objectives and best in class processes for all electrical systems and power distribution across the entire production line relative to the standardization of design, the safety of operation and replicability.

Your Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead electrical engineer on the organization’s core Facilities project team. Support various teams in electrical related technical challenges.
Participate as part of the team developing process or equipment specifications and drawings.
Provide oversight and direction to the internal or external vendors contracted by the project to provide guidance in vendors’ electrical design and construction services.
Develop functional drawing and specification packages, providing for complete and safe installation of equipment.
Ensure that functional specifications of the process and equipment are correctly written and appropriately reflect the project’s goals.
In conjunction with the procurement function, negotiate and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Be an efficient bridge between the team leader and the vendor/partner.
Develop and review complex electrical project calculations. Prepare and document design inputs. Review design inputs and engineering drawings.
Develop detailed plans consistent with the construction milestones, commissioning strategy and execution deliverables to ensure required speed to market, scope, and budget commitments are met.
Travel required up to 30%, Domestic and International

Reporting Relationships:
In this position, you will report to the Facilities Squad Leader.

Position Requirements:
About You:
Bachelor of Engineering plus 5-10 years of experience or
Masters plus 2 years of experience
requires the application of sound theoretical principles to interpret process specifications with vendors/partners
ability to draw sound conclusions from vendor visits and discussions in support of the overall project needs
must have a talent for identifying the potential advantages and disadvantages of the vendor technology and for making relevant measurements to provide data and information that drive technical solutions
have effective communication skills and be a bridge between the various team leaders and vendors
must possess knowledge of vendor technology and equipment performance and must be capable of drawing and presenting appropriate conclusions through technology evaluation reports
