ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Manage project consultants, equipment inspectors, and other contracted personnel onsite
Conduct quality assurance reviews for deliverables received from contracted personnel
Provide and maintain forecast estimates for project related costs and general project task tracking for adherence to project milestone goals
Manage and approve project invoices for payment
Collaborate with other Mallinckrodt mechanical integrity personnel and maintenance teams to develop and implement procedures that meet the needs of impacted parties and strive for standard consistency across all sites
Develop and issue site level procedures, work instructions, and training documents for setting up equipment in Maximo CMMS in a consistent fashion.
Direct setup of equipment locations, assets, and applicable hierarchies within Maximo CMMS
Assist in locating and filing required equipment data. Formulate a plan for remediation of data gaps
Collaborate with other Mallinckrodt process safety program owners/engineers to ensure seamless program integration. This may include, but not be limited to, areas such as boundaries and scoping, instrumented safety systems.
Perform other tasks as directed by senior management.
Maintain and/or update material specifications as needed for the site
Review and approve project equipment drawing as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical, Maintenance Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and maintenance or reliability.
Experience in creating, maintaining, and updating multiple project documents in a complex project environment
Proven experience in leading teams, groups or efforts relating to processes and equipment
Knowledgeable with Process Safety Management (PSM), including process safety information, equipment design in accordance with RAGAGEP, Mechanical Integrity, and Management of Change, etc.
Familiar in application of manufacturing operations i.e. cGMP's, validation, quality systems, document control and the impact of regulatory considerations on engineering initiatives.
Experience working with enterprise CMMS software, preferably Maximo
Knowledge of industry RAGAGEP such as API 510, 653, 570, ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, and NBIC.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate initiative and ability to perform as part of a team.
Knowledge of chemical or pharmaceutical processes and equipment
Most work will be performed in an office setting, but some outdoor field work will be required in chemical manufacturing plant and construction site settings. 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with multiple shifts at most manufacturing sites. Requires use of site-specific PPE that will be identified during the new employee orientation at each manufacturing site the mechanical integrity engineer is working.
This position reports directly to the site EHS Monarch Manager. Incumbent works independently and provides a high level of initiative and creativity to general duties. No instructions needed on routine work and only general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments. This position must develop a good rapport with site leads, site maintenance team, site engineering team, corporate engineering team and corporate EH&S teams in order to be successful.
Primary communications are with direct manager, peers, and subordinates, may involve written or oral communication, including obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate to significant importance to the organization, and may be of a sensitive nature.
