The Role + Opportunity

We are currently seeking a technical expert with a strong business acumen to support the company’s significant growth strategy.
This role is about continuing Seequent's face-to-face customer service program by providing the highest level of attention to customers at all stages of their interaction with our products from evaluation at the pre-purchase stage, to onboarding new customers, and assisting experienced users who require training or advanced technical support. A substantial part of this process is building stronger relationships based on listening to and understanding our customers’ needs and implementing solutions. Being hands-on, task orientated and customer focused, this role is responsible for providing both technical and sales deliverables, deep product knowledge, quick response times, careful analysis and problem solving.
The position of Technical Analyst requires exceptional customer service, communication skills and cultural awareness, both in working with internal teams and with Seequent’s global customers. The Technical Analyst needs to be collaborative, flexible and self-motivated to handle a variety of situations.
To support the rapid growth of our business, we are seeking a highly motivated Technical Analyst, Near Surface and Marine. This is a full time permanent role in our Toronto office.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Coordinating and completing high quality demonstrations and training, using existing training materials and tailoring sessions to meet the needs of the clients involved, both digitally (webinar) and in person, as required.
Communicating client feedback, progress and future opportunities to the Business team post-training in the form of reports..
Assisting with the creation of technical notes and the development of training material for global clients as required.
Contributing to the provision of a world class service support facility, which provides quick responses to customers, effective listening to understand issues, clear and confident communication with the ability to provide education and support to all our users.
Patiently and attentively assist customers with ‘difficult to resolve’ and/or repetitive issues, and being a customer advocate by reporting common and repeat issues to the development and product management teams.
Providing sales assistance to Account Executives in the form of software demonstrations, client visits and relationship building.
Being proactive in helping to manage client relationships, understanding and communicating the full business technical relationship to ensure client satisfaction with Seequent.
Recognizing business opportunities, proactively following up leads and actioning as appropriate.
Having a high user uptake and understanding of product upgrades and showing our users how to maximize the value of our products and therefore return on their investment
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
University Degree in Geosciences or Geophysics (BSc or MSc)
A minimum of five years’ industry experience in near surface or environmental geophysics is required.
Experience with Seequent solutions, particularly Oasis montaj and extensions.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to build enriching working relationships
Proven team player with a self-starter attitude and ability to work well independently, at times remotely, and self-manage workload effectively
Balanced and informed approach to problem solving
Tenacity, persistence and focus with a great appreciation for detail
Innovative, open and able to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
Experience with collaboration tools such as Sharepoint, Salesforce and wikis, an asset.
Experience teaching or delivering training an asset.
