Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join us in our New York City office to work on various projects as assigned by a Project Manager or Lead Electrical Engineer
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design of electrical systems for pharmaceutical, commercial and industrial facilities, including building power, lighting, communications, security and control systems,
Uses computer aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents.
Reviews drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards.
Assist the project team in evaluating commercial proposals.
Able to lead and project design and development including studies, drawings, calculations, and specifications
Adhere to accepted industry and company standards. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and direct electrical engineering projects
Communicate with other disciplines to ensure project documents are properly coordinated
Respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction
Works with equipment suppliers/vendors to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion. .
Ensure acceptable levels of quality and checks for coordination of work to assure documents reflect design intent and necessary coordination.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
8-12 years’ previous design experience (Electrical Design)
Must be fluent in AutoCAD / Revit and have working knowledge of SKM Power Tools software
Good oral and written communication skills
Excellent attitude and willingness to learn – we will provide excellent training for this position
