The Field Service Systems Engineer will reside in Hillsboro, OR, and provide highly visible customer interaction and support through the performance of daily sustaining activities and on-site installation at the customer site.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support Semiconductor activities in the area
Job duties are often performed in confined areas of a cleanroom environment
Installation and support of semiconductor metrology tools
Diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex metrology equipment. Preventive Maintenance, Hardware, and Application support.
Approve operational quality of system equipment
Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system
Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
This job may include any aspect of field support and is not limited to the system hardware and software, PC’s, and IP telephony/networking/ wireless networking
Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required
Shift hours: Varied 5x8 or 4x10, with weekends and some after-hours work. Possible evening coverage may evolve
Travel requirement of 30%, Domestic and International
Long-term leadership transition
Required Education and Experience:
5-years of direct experience with electro-mechanical equipment. Background in metrology or equivalent semiconductor capital equipment preferred
Minimum 2-year technical degree or Military training, 4-year degree preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills #ZR
