MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and HII Nuclear Inc.
Serve as a Technical Project Lead to coordinate the integration of new missions and other projects with facility capabilities for the Mission Development and Implementation (MD&I) Division. As Technical Project Lead for projects and startups, you will be an integral part of the MD&I team of experts collaborating with partners external and internal to MSTS and Nuclear Asset Operations (NAO) to attain desired success states and sustain operations.
Serve as technical broker amongst stakeholders (Federal, Nuclear Weapons Laboratories, Security Contractor, other divisions within Mission Support & Test Services, etc.) to provide a communication/information conduit between mission project and facility.
Provides a strong focus on supporting project advance planning, actively initiate and lead collaboration with all stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve mission execution.
Will work with different engineering disciplines including mechanical engineer, electrical engineering, instrumentation and controls, facilities engineering, and disciplines involved with testing and evaluation activities and research on a variety of projects simultaneously.
Provide expert level knowledge of facility integration requirements to new missions and projects at both nuclear and high hazard facilities at the NNSS.
Provide expert level knowledge of nuclear engineering approaches, processes, and national guidelines.
At NAO managed facilities, identify and tailor applicable functional, operational, and compliance-based requirements for missions, projects and activities.
Support safety basis implementation and readiness activities in nuclear facilities.
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), plus at least 9 years’ relevant experience.
Skill building experience must demonstrate either deeper technical specialization or additional cross-disciplinary knowledge.
Graduate research experience may be recognized.
2 years of related facility operations experience preferred.
Experience with development/implementation of Documented Safety Basis/Technical Safety Requirements preferred.
Testing and evaluation experience in an industrial setting is ideal
Nuclear experience preferred but not required.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Project management experience a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program. Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age.
