The APC Value Stream Leader (VSL) will sit in McKinney, TX and will lead a team responsible for meeting quality, cost, and schedule goals for RIS AMR programs in a production manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will interface with internal RTX customers to obtain the necessary information to develop and maintain the factory’s strategic plan. The candidate must exhibit the leadership ability to direct a cross functional team to implement process improvement and waste reduction strategies within the product value stream as well as have the ability to collect production metric data, e.g. HPU, Rework, Scrap, Cycle Time, RTY, etc. and utilize this data to establish and implement cost improvement projects. The successful candidate will report to the Value Stream Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of a cross functional team which includes multiple Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality disciplines. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours when required. Must be a US Citizen with Current/Active Secret Clearance
4+ years of Production related experience in Program Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience of PRISM, MRP / ERP planning (SAP), and shop floor control systems.
Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members.
Lean manufacturing experience
Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
Demonstrated success working across multiple disciplines to drive performance
Supervisory experience / leading teams
Program Management Certification
Strategic and factory space / capacity planning and prototype / product development build.
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or Math
