Blue Canyon Technologies is looking for a talented Thermal / Systems Engineer to join our growing team.
BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis in Fluids and Heat Transfer
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Thermal Engineer in aerospace applications
Systems engineering experience or interest
Working knowledge and experience using Solidworks
Working knowledge of thermal math modeling, experience with Thermal Desktop is a plus
Strong verbal and written skills
Excellent communication, analytical, communication, organizational, strategic and statistical skills
Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook
An effective sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, small company environment
Thermal design and analysis of spacecraft and spacecraft hardware
Write thermal test plans, participate in thermal vacuum testing, and correlate thermal models to test data
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering duties as necessary
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets and fax machines.
