About The Position:
We are seeking a high-energy, collaborative Mechanical engineer for an entry level position in Longmont, Colorado. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global team in the US and Asia. This role is to collaborate with our suppliers to ensure they deliver quality components, materials and services. The Supplier Engineer will work with Product Design Engineering, Materials Planning, Factory personnel and suppliers to identify highly manufacturable component designs and fabrication processes.
A Day in the Life May Include:
Qualify suppliers / components according to company standards.
Monitor key characteristics of components from fabrication through product manufacturing.
Statistical characterization of key variables associated with component / product performance.
Communicate and resolve supplier related problems as they occur.
Audit suppliers on a regular basis to ensure quality standards are met.
Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance.
Interface with Design Engineers, Materials Engineering and Material Planning to implement best in class solutions.
Writing and revising engineering and workmanship standards.
Work on problems of diverse scope where data analysis is required to resolve issues.
Demonstrate good judgment in evaluation of fabrication methods and manufacturing process controls.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative and fast paced environment.
Passion and commitment for completing projects on time.
Your Experience Includes:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proven success in a technical environment (Internships, Extra-curricular projects considered).
Ability to learn and apply statistical process controls, design of experiments, project management skills.
Capable of writing engineering reports and presentations.
You May Also Have:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Travel : Typically 5-10% (international and domestic)
