This role works closely with multiple departments to identify needs and establish metrics for operational quality, throughput, and accuracy. Development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of systems that automate processes will be the primary function in supporting engineering value streams. Focus on capital projects will include innovation, M&A, process improvement and shared services. Travel will be required.
Provide technical support, problem-solving, maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement for automated control systems as it relates to the engineering value streams.
Works cross-functionally to optimize current equipment and develops controls specification for functions, user interface and quality control for high reliability.
Supports and performs commissioning duties as needed for internally supported projects. Including system validation, system training and documentation.
Sources and manages outside integration contractors to meet project deliverables of cost, timeline, and equipment performance criteria.
Research new and innovative equipment and processes to support the company initiatives of increasing market share and reducing cost. Manages Automation projects including approval process, equipment and material ordering, installation and start-up.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred or Associates Degree with 5 years of Controls/Automation experience within manufacturing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Material Handling, Automation, Controls, Project management. Knowledge - Mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude
Maintenance programs and tools
