What you will do
Be part of an energetic, dynamic & performance-oriented group with focus on delivering high quality innovative products to make healthcare better.
Define new product functional requirements and evaluate the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.
Model and detail implant and instrument designs utilizing Pro/Engineer design software.
Demonstrate superior technical protocol and report writing skills.
Work on cross-functional design teams to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs.
Demonstrate expertise with aspects of the surgical procedure to develop innovative solutions to solve / satisfy customer needs.
Interface with clinical advisors to gather input for design and evaluation of new products.
Manage the design control creation through the New Product Development Process (NPDP).
What you need
Bachelor’s degree required; in a science or engineering discipline, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
0+ years of product design experience in the medical device industry or equivalent.
Fundamental understanding of design controls and risk management within a regulated industry, preferred.
Fundamental understanding of a parametric CAD design package. Pro/Engineer preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop into self-starters, have a hands-on approach and learn to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively by written and oral means.
