KAAP is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer for our Bowling Green, KY plant. The Reliability Engineer works with the maintenance and Forging team to investigate equipment problems and find root causes. This position will implement recommendations for equipment modifications and upgrades to improve machine performance. The Reliability Engineer is also responsible for setting up proper equipment inspection, testing programs, performing equipment "end of life" assessments, and making recommendations for equipment repairs and replacements.
Managing all facets of the maintenance engineer's assigned areas.
Responsible for budget planning and maintaining budget for assigned areas.
Responsible for reports, data or information showing performance levels.
Develop planning and implement daily activities for PMs.
Plan, organize and monitor shutdowns on scheduled dates.
Engineers will be responsible for assigned equipment repairs, performance and needed activities.
Monitor and maintain department records, SOPs, drawings, etc.
Monitor manufacturing processes for opportunity to improve.
Monitor materials ordered or stock needed to complete task.
Help in maintaining inventory for department to perform accurate repairs.
Maintain good safe working practices.
Organize and maintain work areas for good 5S.
Continually work toward improving equipment performance and process.
Reliability Engineering experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Strong wide ranging technical skills in mechanical/instrumentation systems.
Proven record of safe and effective work practices in an industrial environment.
Capable of developing and implementing tracking systems to support continuous improvement programs.
Formal training in Root Cause Analysis.
Training in Reliability centered maintenance a plus
Bachelor in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
