CACI is seeking a Production Engineer to support the Program Office Production Department. As the Production Engineer, you will support the planning and execution of events from Start of Construction to Sail away. This is a fast-paced acquisition program and four ships are delivered every year. Currently, twelve (12) ships are in various stages of construction at two shipyards. This position will initially focus on support of the LCS Freedom Variant built in Marinette, WI.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for full-scope support of the Industrial Post Delivery Availability (IPDA). The IPDA timeline is two to three months of availability performed after delivery at the construction shipyard, which may be expanded to include dry docking work elements of the Post Shakedown Availability work package.
Effectively communicating and assisting the Program Office coordination between the Shipyard, LCSRON, and Crew to facilitate the industrial support and scope issue resolution to enable these transition events for the embarked Navy crew as they take ownership of the ship prior to Sail away from the shipbuilder.

Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR)
Builder’s Trials (BT)
Acceptance Trials (AT)
Industrial Post Delivery Availability (IPDA)
Crew Move Aboard (CMA)
Light-Off Assessments (LOA)
Crew Familiarization (CREW FAM) which includes a brief underway period.
Provide support for the Government Production Leads
The primary place of performance is at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC with up to 25% travel to the shipyard.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred, particularly in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Five years or more of cumulative Engineering and Technical experience in the marine industry
Superior organizational, communications, and writing skills
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
A degree from a Maritime College
Experience working with a Navy Program Office
Waterfront experience in ship construction, repair, and maintenance
