We are currently looking for a structural engineer to join our Repair and Renovation Division.
BS degree with emphasis on structural design, MS degree a plus.
0 to 3 years’ experience in structural design.
Good knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry and wood design as well as structural analysis.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform field investigations, inspections and travel to job sites throughout the U.S.
The employee must be able to perform physical duties to carry out the job requirements which include but not limited to:
- Ability to lift minimum 50 lbs of equipment.
- Ability to use safety equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and drive to multiple offices and project locations.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to use ladders and other access equipment such as lifts, swing stages and scaffolding.
- Ability to work in challenging indoor and outdoor conditions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer to help us grow our Repair and Renovation Division. You will be given investigation, design, inspection, analysis and detailing tasks that will challenge your technical skills and stretch you as an engineer. We will provide training to round out and build up your technical and management skills. You will be working out of our Washington, DC and Tysons, VA offices on repair and new design projects. We have a large repeat client base that awards us with projects almost anywhere in the US. Our projects are interesting and we work with a great group of clients.
