Established AG Dealership Looking for Service Manager with Ag repair and/or Ag Management experience to join our team. Local owned and operated dealership with great customer base and Excellent facilities.
The Service Department Manager manages all aspects of an agricultural service department. Duties of the Service Department Manager include, but are not limited to, managing and supervising all service staff, monitoring departmental compliance with policies and procedures to assure the department functions at capacity and maintaining a very high level of customer satisfaction while achieving departmental budgets and objectives.
Directs, motivates and provides leadership for respective Service Operations staff. Hires all support personnel. With the Store Manager, defines and implements the appropriate organizational structure and staffing level for the operation;
Responsible for department safety performance and achieving safety targets. Provide strategic direction on service products to Ag customers. Identify new service products to offer customers, Constantly improves work processes to increase customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability and employee productivity and satisfaction, Takes personal responsibility for each employee’s development, well-being and performance through quality one-on-one time, coaching and mentoring. Work with training to mutually develop training grids for each technician as applicable, Builds a teamwork atmosphere and insures a high degree of employee satisfaction and productivity while holding individuals accountable for their actions. Responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, Responsible for management of the field service trucks appropriate for servicing current business needs. Ensure that Field Service vehicles are well maintained, Develops an excellent working relationship with suppliers and their field representatives, Sales, Product Support and Parts Departments ensuring support of company’s overall goals.
Several years combined experience in service or parts supervision and management, preferably with Agricultural equipment, Mechanical aptitude, Strong leadership skills which result in being a great coach, mentor and developer of people, Strong management skills, including change management, conflict resolution, performance enhancement, organization and project management skills, Ability to develop strong customer relationships by exhibiting a high level of customer sensitivity and providing consistently high customer satisfaction levels, Ability to analyze and interpret data, use benchmarks and take corrective action for the purpose of improving performance. Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office software as Word, Excel, Power Point, and other data base systems.
