Provide technical support for the marine sales organization at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits
Identify and align synergies across all applications at engine and system level
Evaluate and consolidate customer specific options (Internal Processes: CTI and AzB)
Support cross-functional teams—process management for global application engineering and evaluate its regional suitability
Support the sales organization in bid/no bid process—provide technical project lead
Identify technical solutions for regional projects
Establish regional requirements regarding the needs of the sales and service organization
Compile and ensure availability of engineering tools (technical presentations, product documentation and training material)
Train and qualify internal and external sales organization on MTU America’s product portfolio and sales tools
Coordinate development services for CTIs and AzBs or external engineering services
All functions are implemented in agreement with the marine application center (Department: EMS)
Compile installation specifications and guidelines for regional projects
Coordinate and execute commissioning for prototypes and 1st installations
Support service organization with application related problem solving
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
Perform special projects as required.

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Marine Engineering and five (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or marine engineering; or 9 years of experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or marine engineering
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required as this position will be working under a government contract and with controlled technical data
Excellent knowledge of principles and operations of internal combustion engines

Daily work is performed in an office environment 50% of the time and in an Engineering Field Work Environment 50% of the time. This position has a traditional work schedule (Monday through Friday) for work performed in an office environment. When conducting Engineering Field Work there may be longer hours. The Field Work Environment includes shipyards, at sea, manufacturing facilities, trade shows, and in technical meetings.
The employee will also visit our customer’s and/or distribution partners’ field (land or sea), service and workshop areas and will be exposed to the conditions of these areas. The employee may encounter environmental conditions where there are fumes, dust, water, unpleasant odors and gases. The employee may also be within the proximity of moving mechanical parts and will frequently hear noise. The employee will occasionally endure hot, cold, and humid temperature conditions.
While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly requested to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk and regularly requested to activate a keyboard or mouse within the work environment.
