Objective: The Resident OE Engineer will function as a design responsible engineer for assigned Original Equipment (OE) manufacturers, both within the customer’s facilities and independently.
Study and understand the full function and design of automotive batteries
Will act as a local point of contact for Hankook AtlasBX, to assigned accounts
Create and release work orders within customers’ systems for any new or revised designs
Work within cross-functional teams to secure design validations and approvals from customers
Fully support customers’ integration teams to ensure compatibility with surrounding vehicle components
Secure batteries for laboratory testing, installations, tear-downs, etc., as required by the customer
Ensure continued flow and timely delivery of documentation, work orders, and products to customers
Recognize and immediately communicate potential shortfalls in targets or timing
Reinforce collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
Support and be present, as needed by customers, in laboratories, assembly plants, testing locations, etc.
Drive monthly meetings with quality and product development teams
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical or Chemical strongly preferred
Experience in automotive industry & working with OE manufacturers required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive battery industry or related field (starter battery, alternator, automotive electronics, etc.)

Work Environment/Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Required to climb, balance, bend, squat, reach, grasp, and hand dexterity. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
At times the environment will be a professional office environment in which the role will routinely use office equipment and require appropriate dress.
There is frequent travel expected with this position.
