Summit Technical Solutions (STS) seeking a Software Engineer candidate to build a powerhouse system that will manage software for a real-time tester hardware. As a software engineer, you’ll solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you with the skills and experience to build a prototype from vision to production-ready system. This position will be located at Kirtland AFB NM.

As a software engineer on our team, you’ll work directly with your customer to overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches alongside open source frameworks and tools like XML, JSON, SOAP, Rest API, C, C++, C# and Java. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using Agile life cycle development, coding languages, platforms, and operating systems, you’ll build and maintain a prototype tester to validate communications. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer
  • 2+ years of experience with XML, JSON, Linux, and Unix
  • Ability to implement solutions integrating SOAP or Rest API based web services
  • Knowledge of C, C++, C# or Java
  • Knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of Agile software development and engineering methodologies
  • Knowledge of various IT systems, including hardware, operating systems, networking, and virtualization
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools, including Ansible or Puppet
  • Experience working with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to develop requirements
  • Experience with branching code-versioning software Git
  • Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Knowledge of Real-Time operating systems, including Redhawk
  • Knowledge of Perforce Helix Core
  • Knowledge of both web application and backend scripts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $88,500.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
