Provides Process control support for refinery operations and capital projects. Ensure reliability and function for both DCS and 3rd party applications related to Process control.
Ensuring data flow reliability and keeping work processes up to date.
Schedules and executes application version updates. Communicates changes and differences. Advertises tools and functions. Primary applications include:
Dynamo Suite of Applications
AspenTech / DMC: Aspen IQ
PHD / PI
Works closely with the Operation Technology team to ensure applications servers are maintained and hardware refresh for cybersecurity compliance.
Defines and documents configuration and maintenance standards for applications.
Assess customer (engineering and operational) needs for data. Suggest and Improve existing work practices to steam line data to the end user.
Works with process controls team to understand Honeywell DCS version changes and impacts to applications.
Serves as backup for any control system specialist
Identifies and develops work practices to minimize user error or system customization.
Investigates and proposes new technologies. This includes being knowledgeable about 3rd party applications as well as Honeywell’s tools and roadmap.
Minimum undergraduate degree in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science required.
Minimum 3 years process controls engineering experience in petrochemical industry required
Strong verbal and communication skills required
SQL scripting and programming preferred
Honeywell TDC and Experion preferred
