A successful candidate will train to become a Spacecraft Operations Engineer. The list below reflects general duties and responsibilities for this position:

Monitor the health and safety of spacecraft and ground systems.
Monitor real-time activities and transmit daily loads to any given spacecraft.
Respond to, identify and investigate spacecraft and ground anomalies.
Write and maintain daily operations records – daily blogs, activity requests, engineering changes, etc.
Perform daily mission planning activities.
Perform daily trending and data analysis activities.
Perform verification testing using given Spacecraft Simulator for all off-nominal activities prior to use on the spacecraft.
Perform other duties as required. The position may be filled on level lower.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance required.
ITOS and STOL experience.
Experience with data processing, flight dynamics and ground networks.
Experience with Ilog rule development

Experience Requirements:
Prior experience in spacecraft operations: real-time satellite console (command, control, and telemetry analysis) operations certification.
Spacecraft subsystem/instrument performance analysis experience.

Education/Certifications:
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school B.S. in engineering, mathematics, physics or computer sciences.
Junior Engineer: 0-3 years of related experience
Mid-Level Engineer: A minimum of 4-8 years of related hands-on working experience in direct spacecraft operations.
The position may be filled on level lower.
