The Broadcast Engineer will be a member of the team responsible for supporting the daily live broadcast of our morning show, Good Morning Football. This show utilizes the NFL Film’s control rooms and a remote (REMI) studio in New York. The successful candidate will be involved in the troubleshooting, support and installation of the infrastructure and systems within NFL Films’ broadcast facility, with an emphasis on audio, intercom and communications as well as transmission and routing.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide first line support to crewmembers and end-users utilizing various audio and video production systems, telephone (SIP, T1 and POTS), house routers, PC and MAC based computers running in-house and 3rd party software.
Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the audio and intercom infrastructure of our broadcast operations to ensure a timely resolution in event of system interruptions or failures.
Develop an understanding of the video and graphic infrastructure to assist video engineers
Interface with remote studio technical team, 3rd party vendors and support technicians
Assist in regular preventive maintenance of equipment to assure consistent performance and the highest level of dependability.
Assist with integration and testing of new system installations
Create new documentation and update tech and production books as necessary
Address additional tasks as needed
Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent work-related experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a broadcast/post-production engineer in a television broadcast, post-production facility or similar
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and good understanding of Linux OS, IT and networking
Experience with networked IP enabled audio/video devices, embedded audio, muxed video, ASI and J2K video circuits
Must perform extremely well under high-pressure situations
Must be able to lift heavy equipment for installation and maintenance service as required
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills
Past experience as A1/A2 helpful but not required
Majority of work takes place during weekday morning hours, but will require availability of some night and weekend work as well.

Music Play-out – 360 Systems, ENCO Hotshot
Live Studio Production Applications – AP ENPS
Audio Post Production – Fairlight, Blackmagic Resolve
