As a Software Engineer III, you will be part of a team that is focused on growth and monetization for Indeed's portfolio of world-class hiring products. Every day we help employers around the world post jobs, find the best candidates, and interview potential hires leveraging our powerful hiring platform. Our team works on many of the highest impact strategic initiatives at the company's marketplace for employers and job seekers.
As a member of the Monetization Platform team, you will help develop highly scalable core platform services that drive a centralized monetization and unified ad system. Your team will deliver critical back-end components to support the revenue generation, campaign management, and budgeting for core Indeed products leveraged by a wide range of customers. You will leverage the latest cloud platform technologies on AWS to make sure your services are highly available for the most critical Indeed employer features like job sponsorship, and modern machine learning algorithms to help deliver the best pricing models to our customers.
As a senior engineer on the team, you are comfortable learning new technologies and making architectural changes. You can design pragmatic solutions for abstract problems, and you can effectively partner with product management and stakeholders across the company to deliver positive impact. You are confident in developing APIs and defining best practices.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
4+ years of software development experience with programming languages such as Javascript, Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, and Perl
Experience building high-scale distributed systems that leverage service-oriented and event-driven architecture
Experience with utilizing storage systems (SQL/NoSQL), such as MySQL, Mongo, AWS Aurora, DynamoDB
Experience with microservice architectures and solid API design
Highly collaborative with good communication skills and able to work across disciplines effectively with product management, user experience, operations teams, and other product engineering team members
Experience with agile development processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of functional programming
Docker, Kubernetes experience
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithm design and data structures
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis, Design(OOAD) and development of software using UML Methodology, good knowledge of J2EE design patterns and Core Java design patterns
Effectively articulate any technical challenges and undefined problems
Provide innovative solutions related to new tooling and frameworks
Delivering highly customized test assets with mix of tools and techniques to provide a great user experience
Striving for Product scalability, reliability, consistency and performance in Production

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
