Basic understanding of product design, research and an interest in analysis work
Hands-on/lab or manufacturing basic experience such as welding, machining, assembly
Basic knowledge of engineering tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCad (Office is desirable)
Ability to learn Horizon Global processes and engineering standards
Complete all requirements on Horizon Global training matrix as assigned
Follow the Horizon Global APQP process which involves:
Working with others to ensure design requirements are met
Supporting engineering drawings, modeling, prototyping and DVP
Assist team in coordinating and documenting project progress
Perform routine ECR’s and moderately complex design tasks
Complete general analysis and assist in the creation of DFMEA, CAE/FEA or circuit analysis for product development
Convey analysis to other engineers, internal teams and customers using good organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
Performs other duties as assigned
Some travel is expected
Minimum: 2 -3 year experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Experience in prototype fabrication a plus.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Show interest in the automotive industry and new vehicle introductions.
