Create, design, test and oversee the building of new and existing control systems. He/she will be responsible for selecting hardware and programming of controls for mobile and industrial equipment with hydraulic valves, motors, pumps, and more. Working with application engineers, project management, sales, and customers throughout projects to provide high quality products on time and within budget.
Develop new and existing electrical systems and products both in Mobile applications (Ag, Construction, Fire, Forestry, Military, Marine, Etc.) and Industrial applications (Paper Machinery, Packaging, Heavy Industry, Food and Beverage, Etc.)
Work with team to develop applications that meet or exceed the customer requirements.
Ability to write and interpret specifications, test reports, technical documentation and component datasheets as required.
Ability to create electrical schematics and layouts for control systems in AutoCad/Solidworks.
Ability to create wire harness drawings in AutoCad/Solidworks.
Apply electrical and electronic components for functional and safe control systems.
Create BOM and generate system quotes.
Program control systems with software that is common to industry for mobile and industrial applications (i.e.: ladder, FBD, ST, C etc.).
Startup of electrical/electronic controls systems in-house and in the field.
Troubleshoot electrical/electronic hardware and software systems.
Develop electronic control systems by studying customer requirements.
Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and procedures.
Support manufacturing by guiding technicians in the testing of finished products and systems
Create operation manuals for finished control systems.
Provides engineering internal and external support by answering questions and requests.
Assist in development and maintenance of library of common hardware and software subroutines.
Stay current on technology and trends related to electrical and electronic control systems.
Able to work independently or collaborate in a team environment.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.)
Knowledge and experience in the Fluid Power industry desirable
Programming experience in C++ and CODESYS desirable
