The Enterprise Environment Engineer is focused on optimizing business value delivery at Columbia Sportswear. Within this role you will be responsible for implementing the non-production test environment strategy to support a highly integrated portfolio of projects across multiple applications.
As Columbia Sportswear's Enterprise Environment Engineer you will maintain broad understanding of what it takes to deploy, manage, and operate integrated environments in a multi-application landscape. Strong planning and collaborations skills, experience with test data management, test orchestration and automation, an understanding of risk, and a strong ability to work collaboratively across both business and technical teams will be required to achieve organizational objectives.
Maintain shared non-production environments to permit consistent integrations testing
Establish processes to ensure a consistent, well managed integrated test environment
Define and drive test data automation capabilities
Implement strategies that support multiple styles of delivery (waterfall, agile, CI/CD)
Perform environment refreshes as required
Support activities to build a culture of quality/testing within partner organizations
Design/implement build tools to increase release efficiency and project portfolio outcomes
Continuously improve release planning process and define best practices to efficiently support major, minor, emergency, and off-cycle releases
Develop methods to increase unit, functional, integration tests across the integrated test environment
B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science or related field or 10+ years related experience
8 + years of IT experience with growth in responsibility and expanding technical expertise
5 + years enterprise experience in any of the following Test Data Management, Software Build Management, Release Engineering, Release Management, Data Conversion Analyst/Manager
5 + years of experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle
Proven ability to communicate with both IT & Business Partners at all levels
