The Analytics team at Airspace is responsible for providing insights and intelligence that inform and influence our product and business decisions. We are looking for data-obsessed individuals who aren't afraid to dig deep to unearth crucial business insights that will help shape the future of time-critical logistics. The ideal candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, is comfortable working with large, complex, and sometimes messy data sets, and is an advocate for data-driven decision making. This individual is intellectually curious, focused on results, and has a demonstrated success in using analytics to improve the understanding of business processes and to drive key business decisions.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Apply expertise in data mining, quantitative analysis, and data visualization to develop and communicate actionable insights to business stakeholders and executives
Understand the mechanics of each business unit, the factors that drive their success, and how to best improve these factors
Build automation throughout our entire data stack, from data ingestion through stakeholder reporting
Lead the definition of product and business success metrics (KPIs), ensuring accurate tracking instrumentation is in place for appropriate measurement
Build dashboards/reports/models to monitor KPIs, understand drivers of changes, and recommend corrective actions
Train and deploy predictive models to improve efficiencies of our Supply and Operations teams
Develop and implement experiments to improve experience of our customers, commanders, and operations specialists. Analyze and interpret results
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis
Extensive experience manipulating and analyzing complex data with SQL
Experience with Tableau or similar BI tool. Understanding of data visualization best practices
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to translate vague requirements and complex data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience
Understanding of basic statistics, experimentation methods, and predictive modeling (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, decision trees)
Driven self-starter with good attention to detail
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools and approaches to problem solving
Experience manipulating and modeling data with Python or R is highly desirable
