As Senior Maintenance Manager, your focus is on improving maintenance processes, asset reliability & capital support at various locations as assigned. You would be responsible for leading the Maintenance Team at the Lincoln, NE Plant as well as mentoring and assisting Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Teams at 2 additional facilities). You will report directly to their Home Plant manager.
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and reliability of the plant manufacturing systems – Home Plant
Coordinate functions, assignments and projects of shift staff – Home Plant
Creates and maintains a safe working environment for all employees
Responsible for providing guidance on trouble shooting as well as determining methods and policies around minimizing down time and maximizing asset utilization.
Confirms root cause analysis and failure analysis is completed on critical plant equipment
Comprehensive knowledge of all equipment used, safety regulations, practices and procedures applicable to work units at assigned plant locations.
Confirms development and prioritization of facility capital plans and priorities with plants and engineers
Responsible for the supporting maintenance team development and Maintenance Supervisor development at assigned locations (1-2 locations besides Home Plant).
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies. Understanding of the OSHA, PSM and EPA RMP programs
CMMS experience and Microsoft Office skills, E1 Catalyst, and Ariba. Advanced Safety training, HACCP training/certifications.
Required Experience/Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Project Management or related field required or 5+ years of proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisory/Management Role in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably in a food/feed environment.
PLC knowledge, Electrical knowledge, strong Mechanical Aptitude, familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's),
Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes/Lean Maintenance, ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
Understand maintenance planning and scheduling.
Computer Skills including: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change. Skills in organization, prioritizing and attention to detail.
Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
Ability to manage to a maintenance department operating budget.
Project management planning and oversight experience. Have thorough understanding of PLC's and programming Project management principles Understand World Class and Best in the Industry Maintenance practices and excellent verbal/written communication skills
