As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and driving change through the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing tools to solve problems and make improvements throughout the Amana manufacturing plant. Lead all activities associated with labor utilization for operational areas assigned. Using strong data analysis, this position will own costing and projects regarding continuous improvement, as well as, the efficient use of the plant's human resources.
Identify opportunities in the areas of safety, quality, and cost improvement, then deliver improved business results by driving problem solving and standardized work improvements with appropriate cross-functional teams
Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operations; Collaborate with product design to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence
Perform ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine the safety and cost reduction opportunities
Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product features for Bottom Freezer Refrigerator model lines.
Provide ways/methods to eliminate all types of waste in the production process
Own all line balances and labor utilization for operational areas assigned
Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics
Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement group
Drive operations to achieving short/long term labor productivity targets
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing
1+ years in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the use of advanced manufacturing techniques
Experience with predetermined motion studies (MODAPTS)
SAP and costing (routers, deletion factors) experience
Well-developed communications, conflict management, coaching, interpersonal and team-building skills
Proven success driving lean principles and philosophies.
Proven ability to improve operations within established production systems.
Proven ability to drive initiatives to support change in the plant.
Creative problem-solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectives.
Outstanding organization, communication, and leadership skills.
Competent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilities.
Understanding on factory costs and good financial acumen.
Strong data analytical skills
